HOME BASE PROJECT
For the 11 years Youth Encounter has been a mobile operation based out of Joel and Mary’s backyard. People have loaned trailers and vehicles to transport activity equipment around but as the organisation grows this has become more difficult to do on a daily basis.
On the 30th of April 2021 Youth Encounter took ownership of its very own property! This is an exciting milestone and a testament to the faithfulness of God. The vision for this property is for it to be a space to home the heart of Youth Encounter. A place where young people and their families can experience a greater sense of belonging to this community, to connect, learn new things, have fun, and be empowered to live out their God-given potential.
We have developed office and workshop spaces at our new Home Base along with a dirt bike track to be used for our activity based programmes. Our Operations moved on site the end of July 2021. We intend to build up the range of activities on the site as creativity and resources allow. Watch this space!
- Continue fundraising for property debt and development
- Developing office and workshop spaces
- Develop activity spaces to deliver programmes
- Move operations onsite mid June 2021

The Youth Encounter Home Base will create a point of reference for this vibrant community, where people will know they are safe and belong as they gather together and discover a new sense of purpose and being, and where they can be encouraged to live life wide open - a life of meaningful connection, freedom and growth. We want this to be a safe place where our young people experience a sense of belonging and can always return to and know they are welcome.
Your skills, knowledge, resources, contacts, finances and most importantly your prayers are all a valuable part of this project and we need your help. Contact us or sign up to help with Youth Encounter's Home Base Project.
